Terra Novas Christine Adams Joins Pilot Americana, Jeremy Strong In LA Noir

That was quick — less than 24 hours after Fox cancelled Terra Nova, series co-star Christine Adams has joined ABC’s drama pilot Americana, a family soap that centers on iconic fashion designer Robert Soulter (Anthony LaPaglia), the patriarch of a sprawling family who just welcomed a new member, Alice Clarke (Ashley Greene), a young designer whose shocking arrival turns the family and the legendary label inside out. Adams will play Robert’s wife Sierra, a bronze-skinned East African beauty and former supermodel. The role is a far cry from Adams’ character on Terra Nova-Mira, the rugged leader of the Sixers rebel group. In light of the cancellation at Fox, producing studio 20th Century Fox TV has been shopping Terra Nova to other networks. Jeremy Strong has been cast in TNTs one-hour pilot LA Noir, written and to be directed by The Walking Dead‘s Frank Darabont. LA Noir tells the true story of a decades-long conflict between the LAPD, under the determined leadership of Police Chief William Parker, and ruthless criminal elements led by mobster Mickey Cohen, a one-time boxer who rose to the top of LAs criminal world. Strong, repped by ICM and Mosaic, will play the second in command mobster, Mike Hendry. He will next be seen opposite Daniel Day Lewis in Steven Speilbergs Lincoln. John Barrowman has landed the last series regular role on ABC’s 1895 hotel drama pilot Gilded Lilys, about the Lily clan opening NY’s first luxury hotel. Borrowman will play their playboy son Julius.
